The light between oceans guides many a ship to safe shores
Rays shine throughthe darkness to keep the lone sailor company
When the night runs cold and stars cease to shine
The moon cloaks itself with clouds
Thunder strikes, its rumbles heard from miles away
Somewhere on the crashing waves, passengers have the faith to sleep
For this light never burns out with time or use
And its keeper is never weary of lighting the way for travelers…come rain or shine
