I AM FAITH

“I am Faith. I am neither man nor woman. I have no friend or foe but I dwell with those who simply believe. I am neither a thought nor a feeling. I am the evidence of things hoped for. Many of you see me as an abstract concept, a construct of your imagination. I give of myself freely yet you disbelieve my existence. I have been exiled to the edge of oblivion and tagged powerless by the lack of understanding of those who once believed. ‘You see, it’s all in the mind.’ Doubt whispered to you, calling me a joke and making a mockery of me. ‘If wishes were horses,’ Doubt taunted my believers and now, more and more people decry my existence. You dined with Doubt using a long spoon, yet you fell prey. You only heard one’s side, you don’t know the truth. Verily, I say to you this day, ‘Woe unto the messengers of Doubt who continuously blaspheme my name!’ For I am faith, and I bring good tidings to those who believe the tidings that Doubt consistently robs you of. I am Faith. I am neither man nor woman. I have no friend or foe but I dwell with those who simply believe, in me and my Lord, the Creator.”
