Before going into the various views that people have on writing, what exactly is writing as a word? Writing can simply be said to be the activity of composing texts to be published. But, is that really all there is to writing? A number of people see writing as a word? Writing can simply be said to be the activity of composing texts to be published. But, is that really all there is to writing?
A number of people see writing as an act of putting together words to form sentences, paragraphs and consequently, texts. It holds no complexity or deeper meaning to this group of people. They just engage in writing passively.
Another set of people see writing as a process and not as an act. They have a deeper understanding of what writing is all about and therefore, it holds some measure of complexity to them. Writing to them involves putting your all into expressing exactly what you are thinking at a point in time.
I believe that writing is as much an act as it is a process. However, most of all, writing is a lifetime adventure. Why? Writing to me does not just happen, it develops because practice makes perfect. I beleive that writing involves the writer and his characters. Every writer should see writing as a never-ending adventure that takes you to places and helps you create everything that is impossible outside of your pen and paper. A writer never goes on breaks, you are either writing or thinking about writing. Writing is a gift to be shared with the world because every story unwritten is like a precious gem thrown into the sea.
Passion-driven writing is the best type of writing because, you put your entire being into making a work of art into the best it can be. Such works are timeless and pass from one generation to another as classics because of their uniqueness.
